We are recruiting for our client, a consulting company, for a project in the pharmaceutical industry for the position of Software Engineer (Scala or Java/Spark).
This data-driven initiative supports group risk reporting and other Use Cases by implementing new or improving existing data pipelines. Data requirements cover re-modeling and aggregating defined data input into common company format. Developer hired for this position will be working on upstream source integrations, efficient data transformation as well as analytics pipelines to extend and improve reliable reporting foundation. The initiative builds on common big data platform(s) and tools.
Requirements
- Experience in Scala or Java/Spark;
- Knowledge of Hadoop stack: YARN, MR, Sqoop, Hive;
- Kafka;
- Impala;
- Hands on development experience with Jenkins or Bamboo, JIRA, Bitbucket and Git/Stash;
- Experience of implementing data security capabilities such as encryption and anonymization;
- Excellent communication skills and experience of distributed global teams;
- Data driven thinking capabilities;
- Experience in using Agile methods;
- Solid grounding in Financial Service.
