They have an internal Data Center Modernisation Programme and they are looking Senior Network Engineers with Cisco & FortiNet to replace the core network, firewall & IaaS estates over the coming 18 months.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a 1-to-1 migration from Cisco ASA to FortiGate firewalls, including firewall rules, VPN, and VLAN migrations
- Analyze rules and configuration, provide optimization suggestions
- Adhere to the agreed change management process
- Develop step-by-step instructions for each firewall migration
- Implement migration changes within the agreed change window, which may be outside office hours
- Offer post-implementation support, including issue resolution and performance optimizations
- Create thorough documentation for all new builds and configurations
Requirements
- Expert knowledge and experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls
- FW architecture experience
- Proficiency in HA setup, physical and virtual FWs
- Advanced understanding of firewall rules, VPNs, VLANs, routing, etc.
- Experience with FW migrations
- Experience with Cisco ACI networks
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Good to have: Certification in CCNP/CCIE/NSE4
