On behalf of our Client, the UK branch of a global consulting company, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a team working on data-driven analytics and machine learning initiatives across international projects.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing machine learning models, as well as processing and analyzing data in Python. The role also includes working with PySpark for distributed data processing and applying ML algorithms to real-world use cases.
The project is in the Life Sciences domain and focuses on ML and data analysis within Sales & Marketing. It offers a highly collaborative, innovation-driven environment with plenty of room for creativity, experimentation, and proposing new ideas, rather than repetitive pipeline maintenance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist
- Proficiency in Python with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn
- Experience with PySpark for distributed data processing
- Very good overview of available ML algorithms and libraries
- Strong theoretical foundation in statistics, linear algebra, probability, and machine learning
- Practical experience training, validating, and deploying ML models in real use cases
- Ability to interpret model outputs and communicate insights clearly
- Experience writing reproducible and well-structured code and documentation
